The class-action lawsuit, filed in February, 2016, alleged that NFL’s Rams team violated the terms of their agreement with seat license holders by failing to provide even a partial refund when they picked up and moved to California.
Class members had purchased NFL’s Rams season ticket licenses for the St. Louis stadium that gave them the ability to purchase subsequent season tickets to home games through 2024, but the team announced plans to move to Los Angeles in 2015. And when the Rams finally left for Los Angeles in 2016, they did not provide PSL owners a refund for the unused 9 years remaining on the PSLs or the right to use the PSLs in Los Angeles.
Class members who purchased their PSL before April 1996, and who had not transferred or upgraded the PSL or received a cancellation notice from the Rams by the end of the 2015 season (known as the FANS Class).
From $75 to $1,350 (30% of the face value of the seat licenses they purchased for the old St. Louis Rams stadium ).
