Short Description Of This Case
The class-action lawsuit, filed in September, 2015, alleged that BB&T Corporation overloaded the 401(k) plan with BB&T’s proprietary mutual funds, including having no nonproprietary mutual funds until 2009, which violated its duties under ERISA based on the BB&T Defendants’ management, operation and administration of the Plan.
Class members who are current or former participants and beneficiaries of BB&T 401k plans between January 1, 2007 and October 25, 2018.
