Short Description of This Case
A 2M class-action settlement resolves claims that KeyBank unlawfully obtained class members’ consumer reports. The class-action lawsuit alleged that KeyBank obtained a consumer report after a consumer had paid off a debt owed to KeyBank, which violated the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).
Class members who were included in an inquiry to Equifax as a result of a computer coding error after the consumer had paid off debts owed to KeyBank.
