Short Description of This Case
Mercedes-Benz has agreed to settle claims that the company use “590 Mars Red” paint available as an original, exterior color option for certain models of Mercedes-Benz vehicles is defective in that it may experience peeling, flaking, or bubbling of the exterior paint or clearcoat, which violated Consumer Protection Law.
Class members who is a current or former owner or lessee of any of the following Mercedes-Benz vehicles originally painted with 590 Mars Red paint and purchased or leased in the United States.
Amount of Class Members
Reimbursement for Qualified Past Repairs and coverage for Qualified Future Repairs to address peeling, flaking, or bubbling of the Subject Vehicle’s exterior paint or clearcoat.
Proof of Purchase
Depending on the nature of your specific claim, you may need to provide supporting materials.
NOTE: Do NOT file a claim if you do not qualify for this settlement.
Claim form Deadline
60 Days After Date of Repair: For repairs that occur between May 28, 2021 and the effective date of this Settlement.
7/27/2021: For the other situations.
