Short Description of This Case
PTZ insurance and Pethealth have agreed to pay $5.5M to settle claims that the companies placed pre-recorded reminder calls regarding a 30-day gift of insurance to cellular telephones without prior express consent, which violated Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA).
Class members who were in the United States and who were called on their cell phone using an artificial or pre-recorded voice to play a Day 2 or Day 6 message between October 16, 2013 and November 30, 2016.
